  Bought two regular chips and two regular cod plus one curry sauce (wanted two but they had run out). I paid £15.09. I then noticed a sign stating "mid week special, two regular chips, two regular cod and sauces £12.99. I qualified for this midweek special, it being a Thursday and the offer running Monday - Thursday. I pointed this out to the cashier, who's first response was "its Wednesday", as if "Monday - Thursday" didn't include Wednesday. I pointed out that it was Thursday. After some mumbling he gave me back £1.11. I was owed £2.10. My father who was also present, had ordered the same midweek deal qualifying items. He was not offered any change. When we got home one portion of chips was missing.
  Conclusion; either halfwits or mendacious thieves are running the place. Needless to say my custom will be going elsewhere. Be sure to check your change, the items you collect and ignore any advice as to which day of the week it is if you are foolish enough to chance this place.

  I can't pass through Tring without stopping by Jamie's Fish & Chips. What a treat! It's a great experience every time, and nobody does it better. You would think that you can't really go wrong with Fish & Chips, but when it's done as well as Jamie's, you can't go back to what you were used to before. My wife and brother in law are also great fans. Keep it up Jamie's :)
